Julia L.  Long (Lamb)
Julia Lamb Long, beloved wife of 52 years to Robert H Long, of Ward Ave. Westerly RI passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 20, 2017 after a courageous 19 year battle with cancer.

Born in Westerly she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Dorothy Lamb.
Besides her loving and caring husband she is survived by her children, David (Peggy Sue), Elizabeth ( Bernard) and Andrew Long; beloved grandson Billy; her siblings, Ellen Wick, Maurice Lamb, Agnes (Jeff) Smith, Chris Lamb, and Tony (Rebecca) Lamb; brother in law Tom (Barbara) Long, sisters-in-law, Cindy Perry and Barbara Lamb as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Julia was predeceased by sister Margie (Tom) Dinoto; brother Jim (Nohad) Lamb; brother-in-law Manny Wick; and sister-in-law Francene Lamb.

She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and granny who devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed reading, camping and beach combing on East Beach.

The family is very grateful for the care provided by Dr Robert Legare, Angela Green and the staff at Oncology Hematology Associates of Westerly.

Visiting hours will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4-7pm at Gaffney Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday March 25, 2017 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home.
