I feel so lucky to have known Nancy. As a boy, she always treated me especially nicely as a visitor to the R.I. house, and taught me to look for beautiful shells and stones on the beach, how to play backgammon, and was the first person I ever met who wrote poetry herself. I remember that great expanse of lawn and the willow tree and riding the boat out to the awe-inspiring ocean, catching fish, and long dinners beyond sunset and our parents would talk about matters of the day. Sun, laughter, lots of food and drink--charmed times all around in the early-mid 1970s. Love to Bette and Chip, Derek Scheips
