Obituary for Eleanor Mai Lee "Lee" Kunc

Eleanor Mai Lee "Lee"  Kunc
Eleanor Mai Lee (Stevens) Kunc, 74, of Westerly passed away peacefully from her home to her eternal home with the Lord on May 20, 2017. Lee was the beloved wife for 50 years of Frank L. Kunc, Jr.

She was born in Media, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late George and Eleanor Stevens. Frank
and Lee met, married, and started their family in the suburbs of Philadelphia then relocated to
Westerly in 1978.

Lee was an active and dedicated member for the past 39 years of the Shannock Baptist Church,
serving as a deaconess and choir member. She also enjoyed being a member of the Water
Walking community at the YMCA, taking photos, and arranging flowers. Lee took great pride in
making her home showing her love of family through her cooking. She will be remembered as a
kind, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her husband, Lee is survived by a son and his fiancee, Frank L. Kunc, III and
Rosemary Evans; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorilee and Robert Darling and Christina and
James Crowley; six grandchildren, Frank IV (whom she helped to raise), Payton, and Nathan
Kunc, Robbie Darling, Brock and Graeme Crowley; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lee
was predeceased by three siblings, Georgianna Farley, and George and Irvin Stevens.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 25th from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home,
59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, May 26th, 3pm at
Shannock Baptist Church, 1632 Shannock Rd, Shannock, RI. Burial will be private. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shannock Baptist Church and Hope Hospice &
