Obituary for Leon A. "Lee" Whewell Jr.
Leon A. Whewell, Jr., 55, of Waterford, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2017 after “beating” his battle with cancer for almost two years. The last the eighteen months were filled with fun, family and friends all the way through!
Lee’s hilarious nature and charisma were well known in the construction, biker and boating communities and always assured everyone in the room a great time with compliments or stories that last a lifetime. You could catch Lee and his JCPenney Pose at the Holy Ghost Society in Stonington or in his Magic Jacket riding along on one of his Harleys.
He leaves three children, Amanda Whewell of Columbia, CT, Ashley Roberts of Italy and Evan
Oakley of Willow Springs, NC; three Harleys, Pandora aka Pannie, Elvira and The Titan; two siblings, David Whewell of Hopkinton and Christine Morrone of Westerly; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jason Roberts.
