To Dave, Tom, and all your loved ones... Your mom emailed me yesterday with the sad news. My sincerest condolences on the passing of your dad. I have a lot of fond memories of him. Of all my friends fathers, I always thought yours was the coolest. Come on... playing drum solos in your basement for our entertainment?... how great was that! Also, he always treated me with a level of respect and never seemed to talk down at me. I too had the pleasure of working over a decade with your father at EB. He was a strict and passionate GF in that yard... one of the best there, and had the full attention and respect of everyone who worked with him, including myself. I think though what I admired the most about LJ was the way he interacted with his family... he was fun, loving, devoted, supportive, encouraging, forgiving... all great qualities of a great man. I last saw your dad in his driveway last summer, and was able to chat for a minute, shake his hand, and wish him the best. What a trooper he was. May heaven embrace LJ, and may peaceful reminders of the love you all shared live forever in your hearts. Take care.
