Obituary for Rose T. Gencarelli (Migliaccio)
Rose T. (Migliaccio) Gencarelli, of Westerly, passed away at the Westerly Health Center on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the age of 103. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Gencarelli.
A lifelong resident of Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Restituta Migliaccio.
Rose worked for years as a machine operator at the George C. Moore Company and was a devout communicant of St. Pius X Church. She was also a past member of the Daughters of Isabella. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and entertaining for her family and friends.
She leaves behind two children, Michael A. Gencarelli and his wife Sharon and Anita M. Leonetti and her husband Thomas, all of Westerly; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Rose was predeceased by five siblings, Lucy Lindstrom, Lena Sylvia and Liberen, John and Jack Migliaccio.
A visiting hour will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Friday from 9:30-10:30a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Westerly Health Center Activities Dept., 280 High St., Westerly, RI 02891 or Beacon Hospice, 1130 Ten Rod Rd., N.
