Ronald P. Psimer, 66, died at his home in New York City on September 10, 2017.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Donald and Virginia (Leonetti) Psimer.

Ron was a graduate of Westerly High School and attended SUNY-Farmingdale. He recently retired as a floor captain after a career of working in some of the finest restaurants in New York. Ron was an accomplished photographer and enjoyed traveling, cooking, and the cinema.

Ron is survived by his brothers Gerard and wife Karen, and Paul and wife Debra, all of Westerly. He is also survived by his nieces, Sara, Kate and Christina, nephew Donald, and great-nieces, Athena and Izzi, all of whom he spoiled. In addition to his immediate family, Ron is survived by an aunt Juanita Spino, many cousins and friends. His sister Nancy predeceased him in 2010.

A visiting hour will be held from 11-12 noon on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly, immediately followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will take place at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Westerly. In lieu of flowers, Ron's family asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice in his memory.
