Obituary for Carol A. Gibb (Paladino)
Carol A. (Paladino) Gibb, 66, beloved wife for 36 years of Brian H. Gibb, of Meadow Lark Drive, Westerly, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late David A. and Mildred C. Paladino.
Carol was a former Den Mother and Committee Chairman of the Cub Scouts, Westerly Pack 10.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind, her son David Gibb (Katie) and daughter Melissa Todd (Ryan), both of Ashaway; three step-children, Hope Gibb of Clinton, CT, Shane Gibb (Michelle) of Gold Hill, N.C. and Shannon Wohlgemuth (Rory) of San Marcos, CA. Carol is also survived by her sister Connie Butler of Pawcatuck; seven grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday at 11am at St. Matthias Church, 317 Chesterfield Rd., East Lyme, CT. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will be private.
