Obituary for Richard W. Morrone Jr.

Richard  W.  Morrone Jr.
Richard W. Morrone, Jr., beloved son, father and brother, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the age of 59.

Born in Westerly, he was a son of Constance and Richard W. Morrone, Sr. of Westerly.

He received his MBA from Kent State University and was a US Marine reservist. As owner and operator of Wes-Stor Container and Transport in Pawcatuck, as well as a licensed pilot, Richard was well-traveled throughout the continental U.S. He was a communicant of St. Clare Church, a huge N.E. Patriots fan who was a season ticket holder, a Motocross enthusiast and he was considered a trivia expert by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his daughter Elese Buerman of Coventry; four brothers, Jeffrey Morrone of Westerly, Dean Morrone of Ashaway, Peter Morrone also of Westerly and Jonathan Morrone of Arcadia, CA; his sister Elizabeth Guidone of Portsmouth, RI; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Clare Church, 62 Crandall Ave., Westerly. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Donate Life America (https://www.donatelife.net) in Richard’s memory.
