Obituary for Ian J. Hart
Ian J. Hart, of Bowling Lane, Bradford, passed away at his home on December 2, 2017 at the age of 26.
Born in New London, CT, he was the beloved son of Anna Labbe and her husband Richard D. of Bradford and Adrian P. Hart and his wife Lori A. of Vernon, CT.
Known as being very handy, Ian loved working with cedar siding and was a self-employed contractor. He also enjoyed ATV’ing, gardening and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind nine siblings, Andrew P. Hart and wife Danielle M. Jones and Alex D. Labbe, both of Bradford, Luke M. Hart of Westerly, Wyatt J. Hart of Valley Forge, PA, Joshua R. Labbe of Syracuse, NY, and Richard D., Zachary J., Lexi R. and Madison P. Sargeant, all of Vernon, CT; paternal grandmother Eleanor Cote of Canterbury, CT; and one niece Esther A. Hart. He was loved by many others.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly. There is no procession to church from the funeral home. Burial will be private.
