Obituary for Stuart Burton Signor
Stuart Burton Signor, 68, of Cottage St., Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
Stuart is survived by his two daughters, Shelbie Signor and Madeline Hvarre, and their mother Nancy Stolle; grandchildren, Maya Parker, August Hvarre and Winter Hvarre; brother Richard Signor; and nephew Kaleb Signor. Stuart was preceded in death by his loving parents, Madeline and Burton Signor.
Stuart, also known as “Lumpy”, was an avid reader and jokester. He had a passion for cooking and weaponry due to his honorable service in the Vietnam War. Stuart had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and enjoyed the company of many people from all different walks of life. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
A Funeral Service with Full Military Honors will be held at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at 11am. Attendees are asked to arrive outside the main office building in Exeter by 10:45am. All arrangements made by Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly.
