Obituary for Steven John Maccione

Steven John  Maccione
Steven John Maccione, beloved son, brother and grandson, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 26.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of John A. Maccione, Jr. of Westerly and Jennifer L. Maccione of Pawcatuck.

A lifelong, local resident, Steven enjoyed skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding hiking and going to the beach. He especially loved spending time with his family and traveling.

He will be sorrowfully missed by his parents; his brother Sean Michael Sunderland of Pawcatuck; three paternal grandparents, Ann Mary Grispino of Pawcatuck and John A., Sr. and Marie Maccione of Mystic; two maternal grandparents, Anthony J. and Mary Rose Varas of Hope Valley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
