Obituary for Clifford G. Frink

Clifford G. Frink
Clifford Gerard Frink, 60, of New London, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Cliff always endured life challenges with bravery. His positive attitude, his contagious smile and strong will gave him many good years of quality life after his diagnoses.

He was born on June 20, 1957 in Westerly, RI the son of Priscilla (Griffin) Frink. He was a longtime resident of Pawcatuck. He was employed by Davis Standard for 37 years, leaving in July due to illness. Cliff enjoyed all sports. He was true to both the Boston Bruins and Red Sox teams. Although for football he favored the Giants. He also rarely missed a televised UConn girls’ basketball game.
He was an avid gardener, loved to travel, loved nature and loved his family unconditionally. Celebrating holidays with family and friends made him happy. In 2005 he met his devoted, loving life partner and fiancée Jeanne Carpentier. They spent many wonderful years together. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, life partner, stepfather and father in law.

He will also be sadly missed by his mother, Priscilla, daughter Alicia Liese, son-in-law Nick Liese and grandson Kaeson Liese, who brought much joy to his Poopa. His life partner Jeanne and her daughter Amanda, who he raised like his own, and his friend John Ford. He will also be missed by his fur babies, Lexie, Sophie and Mikey. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert Frink and father Clifford Frink.

Per Cliff’s wishes there will be no services.

His family would like to thank Dr. Peter Schauer and the staff of Oncology Associates, as well as the staff at Mystic Healthcare and Rehabilitation for the excellent care and compassion that Cliff and his family received. Memorial donations can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284, or www.jimmyfund.org, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research, PO Box 1000, Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38148,0142.
