Obituary for Filomena Perri (Parise)

Filomena (Parise) Perri, of Ward Avenue, Westerly, passed away at Royal Westerly on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 100. She was the wife of the late Ralph P. Perri, Sr. who predeceased her on August 30, 2008.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Antoinette Parise.

Filomena worked as a machine operator for Textron. She was a devoted communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and was known amongst family and friends as an accomplished baker, cook and seamstress.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Serra and the staff at Royal Westerly Nursing Home for their excellent care.

She leaves her son Ralph P. Perri, Jr. of Westerly; three brothers, Salvatore Parise and Ralph Parise, both of Westerly and Edward Parise of Charlestown; as well as many nieces and nephews. Filomena was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Parise and Eugene “Sonny” Parise and two sisters, Mary Totin and Betty Parise.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly on Friday at 10a.m. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
