Sarah Elizabeth  Agins
Sarah Elizabeth Agins, 32, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her family on Friday March 9, 2018.

Sarah was a pioneer in the inclusionary special education practices in the Westerly school district, touching the hearts of every person who met her. While she was unable to speak, she was the epitome of a social butterfly and she would frequent the old Prime Time Cafe and Shelter Harbor Inn. Sarah loved music, football, and General Hospital.

She was predeceased by her brother Philip Agins. She is survived by her mother Paula Agins and stepfather Mark Hawk; her father Alan Agins and stepmother Jody Agins; her brother Daniel and his wife Kimberly; and her nieces, Elizabeth and Caitlyn Agins. In addition to her immediate family, Sarah also leaves behind numerous home health aides who were extensions of the family.

Visiting hours will be held at Gaffney Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Friday March 16th 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 17th at 11am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 169 Main St., Ashaway. There is no procession to church from the funeral home. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donation to be made to the Rett Syndrome Research Trust (https://reverserett.org/donate/ ).
