Mary “Nana” Ethel (Burdick) Caddick died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Friday March 16, 2018 in Hopkinton, RI at the age of 92.

Mary is survived by her husband, Harry Caddick, children, Susan Ely Ronald Caddick and Barney Caddick. She is preceded in death by her youngest son Todd Caddick.

Mary was born in Hopkinton, RI to Clinton Burdick and Edith Burdick. She married Harry, After he returned from Europe in December of 1944. Over 73 years, the couple welcomed 4 children 11 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grand children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.

She was a generous and loyal individual who loved her family and who was passionate about being an influence to all the generations to have been touched by her grace. She was an active and dedicated member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

A wake is scheduled for Monday, March 19th 4:00pm-7:00pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly, RI and a funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th 11:00am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 322 Church Street, Wood River Jct., RI. The burial will follow at First Hopkinton Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary's life. Condolences can be sent to 131 Oak Street, Westerly.
