James A "Skip"  Pignataro
James A. “Skip” Pignataro, beloved husband of Beatrice (Brayman) Panciera Pignataro, of Quannacut Road, Westerly, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 84.

Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late James and Nora Pignataro.

He was a graduate of WHS Class of ’52 where he was a well-known lefty pitcher. He joined the Army and after honorably serving for two years, became employed with Boeing Aircraft where he worked for many years as a truck driver until his retirement. Skip also pitched for area baseball leagues and was a communicant of St. Pius X Church.

He leaves his wife; four stepchildren; nine step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. He was predeceased by his first wife of fifty years, Ollie Keith; and his sister Gloria Algieri.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
