Lois E. Angstadt

from Reading, PA: Nancy, I send you my sincerest sympathies. Many memories flooded back as I recalled the two summers I spent with your family as a "mother's helper" caring for the girls. It is with great respect and fondness I remember Mr. Fry. He would say, "Lois, one day you are going to visit me in the White House!". He certainly got close in his lifetime. My time with your family was a time of "firsts" for me as a Mennonite Pastor's teenage daughter: my first plane ride to Cape Cod, that fancy wedding at a country club in Connecticut, my first taste of champagne compliments of Mr. Sam (!), the pretty blue linen dress with the big buttons you gave me to wear on a date (I had never worn a bought dress), giggling with your cleaning gal Elsa, and on and on! I send my love to you and the girls & families. With many fond memories of your family.......... Lois Angstadt
