Obituary for James F. "Jim" Giudice
James F. Giudice, of Burns Avenue, Westerly, passed away at his home on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the age of 81.
Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Gennaro and Rose (Crocca) Giudice.
He was a graduate of Westerly High School and a US Army veteran. Jim worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for many years until his retirement. He was a devoted communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and will be remember as an avid organic gardener who loved to share his bounty with neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, James F. Giudice, Jr. of Warwick and Gerard C. Giudice of Newington, CT; two brothers, Rev. Francis Giudice and John Giudice, both of Westerly and his sister Angeline “Judy” Iacoi; and four grandchildren, Maria, James, Gerard and Robert. Jim was predeceased by three siblings, Samuel Giudice, Helen Giudice, and Santa Aldrich.
A visiting hour will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Thursday from 10:30-11:30am immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly.
