Obituary for Lester E. Keup
Lester E. Keup, beloved companion of Patricia Sylvia, of Buttonwoods Road, Wyoming, passed away at the Westerly Health Center on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 84.
Born in Superior, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Peter and Delia Keup.
Lester worked as an independent truck driver for most of his life. He also worked in maintenance and then enjoyed being an employee in the Sporting Goods department of Walmart just prior to retirement. He was a member of the New London Polish Club and a former member of the Moose Club.
In addition to Patty, he leaves his daughter Rose Thompson; two brothers, Loren Keup and Ben Keup; four sisters, Esther, Rosie, Irene and Joyce; and three grandchildren, Andrea, Logan and Mason. Lester was predeceased by two brothers, Eugene and Floyd.
Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 10am on Saturday, September 15th, at St. Mary's Church, 95 Main St., Stonington. Burial will be private. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements.
