Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Bertram. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

So sad to hear of Bert's passing. I just learned of this when I searched his name. I worked for Bert for many years on third shift at RISD. Without a doubt, the absolute best supervisor I have ever had. It would be impossible to find a person that could mirror Bert. Unbelievably kind, compassionate, fair, caring etc....He truly was a man who cared about the people he supervised and always acted more like a coworker than a boss. I will miss him beyond belief. The positivity, warmth and good will this man bestowed upon those who knew him can never be emulated and certainly not duplicated. My deepest condolences to Bert's family. He will be missed. God Bless.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of Bertram. There is hope though, as the Almighty has arranged for the resurrection in the future. He promises, "... There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15)

I hope you find these few words comforting and provide motivation to prepare for the new world of God's making. (John 17:3)

My condolences to the family and all who loved Bertram. It’s so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. We can have confidence that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. (Job 14:14,15) His Word, the Bible, gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort during this very difficult time.
