Condolence: Pistol was a great coach for me in both basketball and golf. He was one of the most patient and good-hearted men I've ever known. He will be sorely missed and left an indelible mark on me as a young athlete. I will always remember the endless supply of gum he used to provide us at basketball practice and games. It became a superstition and part of our pre-game ritual. May he rest in peace. My sincerest condolences for your loss. Go Bears.

Condolence: Dear Andie and Young Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Pete's passing. He was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met-I was blessed to share so many wonderful times with Pistol over the years, sharing a story and a laugh, playing golf, having a beer, and enjoying his company. I feel blessed to have known him and been his friend. Pete is someone I will never forget and I am sure that is a common thought in so many people's minds at this sad time. I will miss him dearly. I know there is much sadness in the Young family to lose such a loving caring husband, father, and grandfather. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
My deepest sympathy,
Bill Campbell
