Obituary for Peter Brian Zarkowski
Peter Brian Zarkowski, of Castle Way, Westerly, passed away at Shady Acres Nursing Home in South Kingstown on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the age of 73. He was the husband of Colleen (Holland) Zarkowski.
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Peter R. and Dorothy Zarkowski.
Peter was a graduate of Westerly High Class of ’61. His life’s passion was landscaping, which he enjoyed professionally until his retirement. He was a member of the Asylum Lodge #57 A.F. And A.M. where he was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Past Master, as well as a Past Master of Pawcatuck Lodge No. 90 A.F. And A.M .
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Colleen Zarkowski; his seven children and 17 grandchildren. He also leaves a brother Donald Weaver and his wife Lois.
Visiting hours are omitted. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:30 at River Bend Cemetery, 117 Beach St., Westerly. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
