Antoinette R. (Lidestri) Johnston, 77, of Pawcatuck, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, July 24, 2017. She is survived by Gary L. Johnston, her husband of 53 years.

Born in Pawcatuck, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Rose Lidestri.

Antoinette graduated from Saint Michael School and Stonington High School where she was class secretary. She continued to remain active with the Class Reunion Committee throughout her life. A devoted communicant of St. Michael Church, she was also active in several church committees over the years. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella where she served as a local and state officer.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Gary (Kathy), Kevin and Gina; a sister Mary Turner; grandchildren, Michelle and Kimberly (Rory); as well as many nieces and nephews. Antoinette was predeceased by her sister Rose Gomes and brother Joseph Lidestri.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Main St., Stonington on Thursday, July 27, at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the St. Michael Capital Campaign, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379, in her memory.
