Carol (Erishman) Barber, 78, passed away at the Westerly Health Center on Sunday, May 20, 2018.

She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of the late CMD Charles and Elsie Erishman.

Carol graduated from New London High School, Class of ’57 and from Trinity College with an Optical Degree. She worked for 19 years as an Optician for Dr. David Ginsberg and later worked part time for Groton Optical Co. She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and a member of the Senior Citizen Center and several local fraternal organizations.

She is survived by her husband David E. Barber and her loving and special friend, her daughter Alison K. Barber, both of Westerly; and her beloved French Bulldog Jasper. She was predeceased by her sister Cynthia Holland.

Funeral service and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements.
