Obituary for Ramona T. Bailey (Murphy)
Ramona T. Bailey, beloved wife for 61 years of John S. Bailey, Jr., of Champlin Drive, Avondale, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 84.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Phillip John and Evelyn Murphy.
Ramona was an avid reader who loved working in her gardens, however her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband John, she leaves four children, William Bailey of N. Kingstown, Paul Bailey of Chilmark, MA, Jacalyn Rose of Westerly and Jean Hildreth of Reston, VA. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. .
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10am on Saturday, Aug. 25 at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Main Street, Stonington, CT. Burial will be private. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in Ramona’s memory may be made to St. Michael School, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT 06379.
