Obituary for Susan J. Santangelo (Odell)

Susan J. (Odell) Santangelo, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 60.

Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Eliza Odell.

Susan worked as a Claims Manager for Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation for many years. She loved going to the beach with her granddaughters and enjoyed outings with her co-workers and friends. Family was the most important aspect of her life and she will be lovingly remembered for always being available to give guidance or a kind helping hand when it was needed. Despite her own health struggles, Susan was always upbeat and maintained a positive outlook.

She will be dearly missed by her four sons, Adam S. Blair and his wife Gina Blair, Stephen R. Santangelo, Alex P. Santangelo and Andrew F. Santangelo, all of Westerly; three brothers, Fredrick Odell of West Warwick, Jim Odell of Deming, N.M. and Steven Odell of Johnston, RI; two sisters, Linda Wilson of West Warwick and Lori Dolan of Warwick; and two granddaughters, Anna and Olivia Blair. Susan was predeceased by her brother Robert Odell.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
