Obituary for Janet E. Cook (Holly)

Janet E. (Holly) Cook, beloved wife of Thomas C. Cook of Palmer St., Pawcatuck, passed away at her home on September 22, 2018 at the age of 73.

Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Winifred Holly.

Janet worked as a waitress for Ships Lantern in Mystic for many years and was an avid reader. She will be dearly remembered as a great listener who was always ready with a warm smile and a cup of tea.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her three children, Holly Eaves and husband Stephen Spencer Eaves of Charlestown, Mark Cook and wife Rebecca of Pawcatuck and Ronald Cook and wife Cheryl of Old Saybrook, CT. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Janna Eaves of Nashville, TN, Marina Eaves of Boston, MA, and Aliyah, Skylah, Hennessey, Emersen and Parker Cook, all of Connecticut. Janet was predeceased by her sister Joan Booth, formerly of California.

Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy on Friday at 11am at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Main St., Stonington. Burial will be private.
