Obituary for Pasquale D. Pellegrino

Pasquale D. Pellegrino, of Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 94. He was the husband of the late Norma (Bolduc) Pellegrino.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Luigi and Michelina Pellegrino.

Pasquale was a US Army Veteran of WWII and worked as the Superintendent of Transportation for the US Sub Base for many years. A devoted communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, he also was a member of the Amancio-Falcone-Gaccione Post 8955 and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Pasquale was an avid gardener and woodworker who loved spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his three children, Michael Pellegrino and his wife Margaret and Eilene Lorello and husband Nicholas, all of Pawcatuck and Diane Pellegrino of Hypoluxo, FL; his beloved companion of 20 years Susan Cranshaw, also of Pawcatuck; two sisters, Mary Clark and Anna Francese, both of Westerly; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Antonio, John and Joseph Pellegrino; and a sister Nancy Clark.

Visiting hours are omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements.
