Obituary for Guyer L. Welch
Guyer L. Welch, devoted husband for 18 years of Eileen (Boucher) Welch, of Buckeye Brook Road, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was a son of the late Barbara and Michael Welch.
Guyer made his living painting homes professionally for over 30 years and was an accomplished billiards player. He was a longtime Friend of Bill W and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
In addition to his wife Eileen, he leaves two siblings, Michael Welch and his wife Sheila of Stafford Springs, CT and Sloane Welch Verrastro and her husband Nicholas of Bethlehem, CT; one niece and three nephews, and two dogs, Lily and Rocco.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Service will take place at 10am on Wednesday, January 23rd at Dunn’s Corners Community Church, Presbyterian, 221 Post Road, Westerly.
