Obituary for Ernest O. "Ernie" Findeisen
Ernest O. “Ernie” Findeisen, 94, husband of Julie (Orr) Findeisen, of Westerly, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019.
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Otto and Winifred Findeisen.
Ernie worked as a color mixer with Imperial Wallpaper for years until his retirement, and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and traveling, especially on cruises in the Caribbean. He was an avid NE Patriots and Red Sox fan.
In addition to his wife, he leaves four children, Dean Findeisen of Ashaway, Bonnie McNamara of Westerly, Scott Findeisen of Pawcatuck and Deidre Radicioni of Westerly; his sister Barbara Lamarche of Pawcatuck; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Wayne Findeisen and four siblings.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 10-11am, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11am in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Burial with Full Military Honors will be private. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
