She was born in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late John Brooks and Jeanne Charlesworth. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Edgewood Hospital in Newport for many years.
Ann leaves two daughters, Carrie Tuttle of New York City and Sarah Upson of Redding, CT.
