Evelyn Grace (Bishop) Long, 91, of Watch Hill Road, Westerly, passed away at Apple Rehab Watch Hill on Monday, June 1, 2020. She was the wife of the late Alfred “Gene” Long.

Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late James and Grace Bishop.

Evelyn graduated from Lodi High School in New Jersey and worked at MetLife in New York as a secretary. After raising her family, she worked at Montclair State College as an Administrative Assistant. An avid reader, she also enjoyed ice skating and bowling, loved walking and hiking in the outdoors and taking road trips in the family travel trailer.

She will be dearly missed by her two children, Gene Long and wife Joanne and David Long and wife Mary; five grandchildren, Scott (Laura), Brian (Dayna), Christopher (Kimberly), Daniel and Matthew; nine great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
