Obituary for Geneva M. "Gene" Provenzano
Geneva "Gene" M. (Scruggs) Provenzano, age 79, of Lynn Lane, Ashaway, passed away on Christmas morning, December 25, 2020, at The Westerly Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She is survived by her spouse’s niece, Lia D. Brown and husband Raymond, of Canterbury CT, and their children, Zachary and Jacob Brown. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Gregory S. Provenzano.
Gene was born in Memphis, TN, daughter of Samuel and Gertie Scruggs. She was an airline stewardess before becoming a corporate travel agent for Analysis and Technology, and later retiring. Gene had a passion for reading and enjoyed many outings with her family and friends for food and laughs.
