I am sending my deepest sympathy and love to cousin Karoline and her family and to cousin Christopher at this time of loss. My Aunt Sheila was an amazing woman. In my lifetime: she gave me many gifts and opened a world to me that transcended the typical role of women. I had the chance to experience Aunt Sheila’s piano playing, her voice, her exuberance and love of life as a child and adolescent. She taught us how to laugh, she traveled the world while looking like a model, she was married to a Colonel/ Green Beret and we watched over their dear Cricket the dog while she was overseas. I will always remember the joy in learning Hawaiian, learning to yodel In the meadow with Werner Von Trapp and riding around the “Waitsfield Valley” in her convertible with Debbie Delvy. We were blessed to have 3 beautiful new cousins she adopted out of her unselfish love for children. I visited her infrequently before Uncle Franks passing and several times following his passing. She didn’t really know me but her spirit shone bright. I will miss this light and her presence will live on in my mind when I look at a box of sheet music from that era. Those were the Kelliher days— a large family of siblings who shared, were hard working and looked out for one another! Oh the hand me downs! Aunt Sheila will long be remembered for her beauty and spirit. She, Uncle Frank, her siblings as well as her son Michael are certainly singing a glorious song right now.
