Obituary for Mary Lu Knowles (Sorrento)
Mary Lu “Dolly” (Sorrento) Knowles, of Mystic, Conn., passed away at Apple Rehab Mystic in Stonington on Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was 99.
Born in Port Chester, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sorrento.
Dolly worked as a machine operator for Lifesavers Inc. She was a member of the ladies’ auxiliary at the Pawcatuck VFW Harley P. Chase Post 1265.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Knowles of Groton, CT; and two nephews and their families, Joseph and Steven Sorrento, both of Pawcatuck. Dolly was predeceased by her brother Phil Sorrento and his wife Joanne.
