Theodore “Ted” Mindeck, of New London, Conn., passed away at his home on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the age of 63.

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, he was the beloved son of Nathaniel “Bernie” Mindeck of Westerly and the late Sandra (Simons) Mindeck.

Ted served in the US Air Force. He worked as an inspector for Wyman & Gordon for many years and was a member of the Westerly BPOE Lodge 678. He enjoyed playing guitar and he loved classic muscle cars. An accomplished sailor, Ted just loved living by the ocean, and once sailed from Connecticut to the Caribbean, a highlight of his life.

In addition to his father, he leaves his three siblings, Robert G. Mindeck of Westerly, Shannon (Karl) Daday of Titusville, Fla., and Mary (Carl) Boisvert of Austin, TX; and sixteen nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his niece Anna Primavere.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare Church, 62 Crandall Ave., Westerly on Monday at 10am. Burial will be private. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in care of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit
