Obituary for Giemma M. Bauerle (Felicetti)
Giemma M. (Felicetti) Bauerle, 104, of Westerly, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2021. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of the late George J. Bauerle, Jr.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of Francesco and Filomena (Rizzo) Felicetti.
Giemma was a lifelong resident of Westerly, a faithful communicant of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the Calabrese Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons George J. Bauerle, III and wife Michelle, David F. Bauerle and wife Jayne, son-in-law John Hamelin, 5 grandchildren Laurie (Tate) Pacecca and husband Robert, Chad Bauerle, Sarah (Bauerle) DosSantos and husband Daniel, Caitlyn (Bauerle) Bosworth and husband Brian, and Brenton Bauerle, 4 great-grandchildren, Adam G. Pacecca, Violet DosSantos and Caroline and Emma Bosworth, sister-in-law Julia Felicetti and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Anne M. (Bauerle) Hamelin, granddaughter Karen M. Tate, as well as three brothers and two sisters.
Giemma was devoted to her faith and her family and a wonderful cook and homemaker. As her husband always said she was “the best little wife in the world”.
Visiting hours are omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 4, at 12 noon at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm Street, Westerly. The Mass will also be live streamed for those who cannot attend at https://www.saintpiuswesterly.org/live-events/. Burial will be private.
