Morris Richard “Dick” LeCour, Jr., 93, of W. Arch Street, Pawcatuck, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Clay) LeCour who predeceased him on Nov. 2, 2013.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Morris R., Sr. and Helen LeCour.

Dick was a Carpenter for Electric Boat in Groton for many years until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church and he served in the US Coast Guard. A member of the Eastern Conn. and Little Rhody Beagle Clubs, Dick along with his Beagle partner Nate Gencarella, held numerous Field Championships and was honored as Top 10 Breeder, Owner and Handler in the country. He also enjoyed spending time repairing lawn mowers.

He leaves behind his three children, Michael J. LeCour and wife Sharon of Old Lyme, CT, and Maureen A. LeCour and Arleen M. Bonomo and husband Philip, Jr., all of Pawcatuck; as well as two grandchildren, Caroline and Audrey LeCour of Old Lyme; and several nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by his sister Phyllis J. Weber.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10am on Thursday at St. Michael Church, Pawcatuck. Burial with Full Military Honors will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Michael Church, Capital Campaign, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379 in Dick’s memory. Sincere condolences to Maureen, Arleen and her husband, Philip Jr., and Michael and his wife, Sharon. We always enjoyed the times we spent with Richard and his family. He was always very helpful to us. May he rest in peace.
