Obituary for Marguerite T. Alice (Deslandes)
Marguerite T. (Deslandes) Alice, 88, of Lovat Lane, Westerly, passed away at Apple Rehab Watch Hill on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. She was the wife of the late Samuel Alice.
Born in Taftville, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Pierre “Peter” and Blanche Deslandes.
Marguerite worked as a head cook at Westerly High School for many years. She was a longtime and devoted communicant of St. Pius X Church. She was a member of the Franciscan Third Order of the Immaculate.
She is survived by her four children, Samuel T. Alice and Michael Alice, both of Westerly, Mark Alice of Providence and Dina Harrison of Pawcatuck; as well as seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., Westerly on Thursday, March 18 at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be required. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in care of the arrangements.
