Obituary for Margaret Burdick (Capalbo)
Margaret (Capalbo) Burdick, of Crestview Drive, Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the age of 100. She was the beloved wife of the late Sylvester Burdick who predeceased her on May 31, 1989.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Christina Capalbo.
Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, sister and homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter Darlene S. Burdick of Westerly; five siblings, Louis Capalbo of Chapel Hill, N.C., Gen. John H. Capalbo of Smithfield, RI, Mary Stellitano of Westerly, Elizabeth Gervasini of Bradford and Nancy Mottola of Warwick; as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her brother Joseph Capalbo and sister Susan Stefanski.
A visiting hour will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Tuesday, June 1 from 9:30am – 10:30am, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., Westerly.
