Obituary for Jose A. "Joe" Vicente
Jose A. “Joe” Vicente, beloved husband for 54 years of Maria (Teixeira) Vicente, of West Vine Street, Pawcatuck, passed away at his home on August 5, 2021. He was 87 years old.
Born in Săo Miguel, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose F. and Maria Vicente.
Joe worked as a chemical operator for Pfizer for many years. He was a devoted communicant of St. Michael Church and a member of both the Maria Assunta Society and the Knights of Columbus. He was also an avid Red Sox fan.
Besides his loving wife, he leaves his three children, Jose T. Vicente, Paula (Joseph) Henn, and Micaela T. Vicente, all of Pawcatuck; three grandchildren, Josef S. Vicente, Toria A. Vicente and Aaron Venditti; as well as sister Laiduina Tavares of Mystic, CT and several nieces and nephews.
