Obituary for Mary Lou Robinson

Mary Lou Robinson of North Anguilla Road in Pawcatuck, passed away on September 9, 2021. She was born in Fall River, Mass to the late Ernest J. Fayan and the late Florence Fayan.

Mary Lou grew up in Fall River and moved with her family to Willimantic, CT in the summer of 1950. She graduated from Windham High School in 1951.

She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1955 and married her husband, Donald Robinson, in 1956 following his graduation from UCONN. Donald predeceased her on June 1, 2018
Mary Lou worked as a preschool teacher at the Westerly YMCA from 1970 to 1979. Later she was employed at Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics until her retirement in1993.

She is survived by her two sons, Donald J. Robinson (Carolyn) of Pawcatuck and John T. Robinson (Sarahanne) of Madison, CT; one daughter Anne E. Greene of Pawcatuck; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose (David), Meghan Terrell, Daniel Terrell (Beth), Hannah Eastabrooks (Jordan), Lincoln Robinson, Charlotte Robinson, Ruby Lee Robinson, Colton Robinson, Dylan Robinson, and Liza Robinson; and three great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Alyse Rose and Genevieve Terrell. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Frances Fayan and a nephew E.J. Fayan III.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Ernest J. (Bud) Fayan Jr.

A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11am on Tuesday at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will follow at River Bend Cemetery, 117 Beach St., Westerly.
