Obituary for Marion A. Andrews (Marino)
Marion A. Andrews of Westerly, beloved wife of the late George "Lenny" Andrews, passed away on Sunday, December 19th, 2021.
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of Gennaro and Lucy Marino.
Marion worked in the kitchen at The Westerly Hospital for several years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching countless athletic contests over the years, especially baseball and basketball games. The family annual camping vacations to Sebago Lake State Park in Maine were rejuvenating and fun filled. Marion was thrilled to retire with Lenny in Edgewater, Florida. She adored the warmer climate and the sun-soaked beaches and loved when the kids and their families vacationed there.
She will be dearly missed by her son David Andrews of Brooklyn, CT; her son-in-law Mark Blake of Westerly; five grandchildren, Tessa Andrews (Steve Franchini), Michael D. Andrews, Peter G. Andrews, Gregory A. Blake and Shane R. Blake; and one great-granddaughter Margot Franchini. She was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Blake; and siblings, Ercole “Squitchy” Marino and Philomena Maccione.
Visiting hours will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Thursday from 10:30a.m. – 11:30a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St. in Westerly at 12 noon.
