Obituary for Robert Allen Harris
Robert “Bob” Allen Harris, 80, beloved husband for 56 years of Nadine (Warren) Harris of Oakdale, CT, passed away at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
Born in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Richard and Dorothy Harris.
Robert served in and retired from the US Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He served on the USS George Washington Carver as well as the USS Will Rogers. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for Analysis & Technologies and IT for Groton Police department. He was very active in the Quaker Hill Rod & Gun Club and was involved with the subcommittee / SubRon-4.
He leaves behind his wife Nadine, their two children, Nancy (David) Corina of Westerly and
Julie (Walter) Chapman of Preston, CT; and granddaughter Lainey Corina. Robert was predeceased by his sister Carol Dussing.
