Obituary for Matthew H. Milam
MMatthew H. Milam, 34, of Greenman Avenue, Westerly, passed away in Westerly on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Born in Scottsboro, Alabama, he was the beloved son of Sue Milam, R.N. of Westerly. Matthew was predeceased by his brother Jim Milam.
He was an honor student and graduate of Westerly High School. He was an integral member of the track team where he formed lifelong friendships. Matt went on to study Marine Biology at Coastal Carolina University. He was a hardworking and well-known commercial fisherman throughout Southern New England. Besides being known for his love of the ocean he was also known for his extraordinary kindness and willingness to help anyone. His contagious laughter and smile will never be forgotten.
