Obituary for Gabriel DeMelo
Gabriel DeMelo, beloved husband of Maria (Pacheco) DeMelo of Moss Street, Pawcatuck, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the age of 78.
Born in San Miguel, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria DeMelo.
Gabriel worked as an assembler for Wyman & Gordon and was a communicant of St. Michael Church. He enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Maria, he leaves his daughter Deliela C. Bettencourt of Bozrah, CT; two brothers, Francisco DeMelo of Canada and Antonio DeMelo of Fall River, MA; three grandchildren, Tessianna, Natalin and Patrick Bettencourt; and several nieces and nephews. Gabriel was predeceased by eight siblings.
