Jacqueline (Smith) Perrone, formally of Chestnut Court, Westerly, passed away at Royal Westerly Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the age of 86. She was the wife of the late Michael A. Perrone.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Louis Smith and Mary Irene Coughlin.
Jacqueline was the owner/operator of Westerly Cleaners after the death of her husband. She also worked as a licensed realtor in both Rhode Island and Connecticut. She was the past Vice President of the Tenants' Association at Chestnut Court and had the distinction of being chosen Westerly's CYO Woman of the Year in 1961, celebrated at a banquet at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Jacqueline was also an avid reader.
She leaves behind her companion and best friend Thomas Bruce Christiansen whom she would like to thank for his 40 years of love, care and kindness. She is also survived by her three daughters, Deborah Franklin of FL, Michele Weller of CT and Jacqueline Arnott of CT; her five grandchildren, Tory Mucci, Michael D'Angelos, Alexander Weller, Kasey Moran and Mandy Moran; her three great-grandchildren, Autumn Mucci, Nicholas D'Angelos and Juliana Mucci; and her sister Irene Gledhill of CT. Jacqueline was predeceased by her twin brother Louis Smith and sister Patricia Carroll.
