Obituary for Carroll L. Richards
Ashaway, RI - Carroll L. Richards, beloved father and grandfather, passed away in Wakefield, Rhode Island on Friday, March 11, 2022. He was predeceased by the love of his life, the late Adelaide (Crandall) Richards.
Born in Lenoir, N.C., he was the son of the late George and Sarah Richards.
Carroll was a graduate of Bryant College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. He was also a US Navy veteran who proudly served during the Korean War.
An avid gardener, he prioritized his family above all else. Most notably precious to him were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind his two loving children, Lori O’Donnell and husband Gino of Westerly, Dale Richards and wife June of Wallingford, CT; four grandchildren, Erica (Jacob) Green, Ryan O’Donnell, Scott (Tali) Richards, Jennifer (Graeme) Scott; four great-grandchildren, Nolan and Addison Green, and Lia and Benjamin Richards. Carroll was predeceased by his three brothers, Eugene Richards, Charles Richards and Dorse Richards, who all served their country in WWII, and by his sisters, Christine Richards Lane, Hazel Richards, Ruth Richards Prestwood, Laura Richards and Kathleen Richards Melton.
