Tyler J. Killeen, 27, of Summer Street, Westerly, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2022.
Born in Westerly, he was the beloved son of Judith (Ringsted) Burdick and stepdad Steven Burdick, of Pawcatuck and Jeffrey J. Killeen and his second mom Erica Russell, of Seabrook, NH.
Tyler also leaves behind his sister Nicole M. Killeen along with nephew Tim and niece Stella of Westerly; maternal grandfather Alan Ringsted of Norwich, CT; and his beloved German Shepherd Shado.
He worked as a server for David Burke Prime Steak House and was a member of the Ocean YMCA. He loved playing basketball, video games and spending time with family, friends and his dog Shado. He had a passion for the New England sports teams, except for his unexpected love of the New York Yankees. He also loved going to the drag races with his father and the “guys”.
Tyler will always be remembered for his charismatic personality and fun-loving spirit. He could brighten a room with those dimples and perfect smile of his that would light up his face and instantly make those around him want to smile too.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will be private.
